'Bloodgood’ is one of the most widely planted – and dependable – of the Japanese maples. Its rich, deeply cut, dark red-purple leaves that turn an even brighter crimson in fall make it a standout in a landscape. ‘Bloodgood’ is spectacular when grown in full sun, but in a hot climate does better in partial shade. It’s a garden favorite!
